Just a few weeks I posted on my social media “Just scheduled a month’s worth of social media content in one hour!” and, I had a ton of questions about how is that possible or do I have superpowers?
But, of course, no superhero will ever publicly divulge their secrets, but I do want to reveal a few reasons why and how I was able to make this happen!
First of all — Do you have a content plan? If not, there is your first misstep!
I plan out my content marketing strategy each quarter. This allows me to know what I am focusing on so I can create effective social media and blog posts that align with my goals.
Second, because of this plan, I am able to create an ongoing content bank. You know how all the best ideas either arrive while laying in bed, the shower or while you are driving? Well, I make a point to write them down in my content journal (and, if I am lucky into the content bank in Asana)
Also, as I am scrolling Instagram or Facebook or wherever, if I find a quote that inspires me or a link to a blog post then I save it in a bookmarked folder on my browser. If I am on Pinterest, then I use a “secret” board to save the pin for later use.
Third, templates in Canva (or wherever you prefer) save a ton of time. I have several templates all with a designated purpose and already sized for the social media dimensions as needed.
Fourth, SmarterQueue is my lifesaver for posting and recycling evergreen content. Evergreen content is the content that can easily be applied at any time of the year because it is not date focused.
I have toyed around with other social media schedulers and even SmarteQueue’s competitors but SmarterQueue is by-far my favorite, user and budget friendly.
Here is your quick walk-through on how to automate your social media with SmarterQueue and make your scheduling as painless as possible.
Decide and Create Post Categories
Post categories divide up the content that you will be scheduling, think past blog posts, inspiration, day-specific posts, links to other content, and etc. You want to create multiple categories so you’re constantly switching up the type of content you share.
Create A Social Media Schedule
You’re going to create different schedules for different social media platforms. Ensure you are using the most recent data from your analytics so you are posting content when you audience is online.
Create / Add Evergreen Content
The first time you setup your queue will be the most time intensive part of the process, but after you load your content, you will not need to do anything else.
What should you add to your queue?
-Recycle your old blog content, start by creating 1-3 posts for each blog post.
– Share promotional content, make sure you are sticking to the 80/20 rule. I suggest a separate day for this content.
– Curate others content easily
If you’re ready to hop on the SmarterQueue train and consistently connect with your audience then this is the BEST solution to easily automate and streamline your scheduling process.
You have two options now, head over here to set up your new SmarterQueue account. Plus, by using this link, you will get 30 days free!
